Jarid S. Johnson

Jarid holds a degree in Broadcast Communication Arts from San Francisco State University and has worked in media production since 1974. His previous studies and careers in photography, technical theater, radio and television provide a varied and solid foundation for his work as a Director of Photography.

In addition to studio and long lens work, Jarid is a highly skilled hand-held camera operator. Since 1989 he has shot live music at every venue in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a cameraman with a stylistic twist. When appropriate, Jarid uses unique camera angles and moves that add visual potency to any production. His experience includes location and studio production with extensive skills in designing effective, creative lighting.

Add to his shooting skills the expertise of a sound and video technician, plus years of experience with many different production situations, and you have a DP with a well rounded background in the video industry.

Jarid is also an accomplished editor; when shooting, he composes and creates sequences with an eye toward the final edit. You can be assured that the visuals for your finished show will flow smoothly and seamlessly, communicating your message persuasively.
